Through that, it became the famous Mt. Batong Lusong or Mt. Batolusong (for others) of the present. Mt. Stories: There is a story behind why the mountain was named Mt. Batong Lusong, during the Japanese era (1942-1945) the Indigenous people who used to occupy the area found a stone that has the shape of “lusong” (mortar). They use that lusong as a tool to where they will pound their rice so that the Japanese will not hear them and they will not be caught and punished.
